A Singapore newspaper reports on efforts to re-introduce the spectacular Tiger orchid (Grammatophyllum speciosum) to its natural evironment. The orchid, with a 10cm wide bloom, was discovered growing wild in Tuas and Pulau Ubin in 1900. Naturally occurring plants are now extinct.
