It’s been a few days since I last posted. I’ve been distracted by a consuming infatuation with my new camera to the detriment of all my other interests (though I have remembered to feed the dog). Thanks to the great folks at the Nikonians forum, I now know what most of the buttons on the camera are supposed to do. The trick is to remember all that and take a picture at the same time. It’s like learning how to manage a clutch, gearshift, brake, gas pedal, as well as steer… impossible! Occasionally I get a bit overwhelmed, but dammit, if I learned how to drive a standard transmission car, I feel sure I can figure this out… eventually.
